Although this monument is a singular example of the mediaeval architecture of the city, due to the big distance from the "Judería" (Jewish Quarter), this monument is not well known to the tourist. This powerful tower, with an octagonal shape, was constructed by Moorish workmen, at the beginning of the 15th century, and it was part of the wall of the north side of the city.
In its interior, there is only one room that communicates with the exterior through narrow loopholes, and it is crowned by a semi-spherical cupola. From the top floor, the views, of part of the grange, are excellent. Unfortunately, nowadays it is not possible to visit the interior of this monument.
