In the heart of the "Judería" (Jewish Quarter), "Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo" built the old hospital "Cardenal Salazar", also known as "Hospital de Agudos". Today this hospital is inside the perimeter of the Faculty of Philosophy. The floor plan is almost rectangular with an atrium and a chapel, tiles socles and a paved courtyard. This complex is a good example of the academic aesthetic. In the interior we can find the "Capilla de San Bartolomé" (San Bartolomé chapel).
